Good choice for the money, but could be better.

This induction range with air fry does perform well and while costing a little more than a conventional glass top range is pretty much the only affordable induction choice out there for those of us on a budget. That said, I would like to note some areas that could stand to be improved: First, this is sold as an air fry range. The air fry rack and basket should NOT be extra! It comes with three regular racks but not the air fry rack. How often do I need three oven racks? Never! Give me two regular racks and the air fry rack instead. Second, the control panel takes a fair amount of pressure to press a button and that results in a bit of movement by the entire back panel giving it a bit of a flimsy feeling, This really should be reinforced internally to prevent any movement. The same goes for the bottom drawer which also has a pretty unsatisfying lightweight feel to it. Third, it would be nice to have some volume level choice beyond simply on or off. You really need to have the tone to know it registers the button press, but is too loud for me.Fourth, the window is tinted very dark making it difficult to see how your food is doing without opening the door, which they tell you not to do and to not have the light on while baking. Really? Give me a window I can see through and a lightbulb that can take the heat. Fourth, the stealthy markings on the glass top to indicate where your pans should be placed and what size are way too dark making it hard to see with your pan in the way. Why not make the active area glow and/or make the markings substantially easier to see? Lastly, there is very little stainless steel to be had. At a minimum, I would prefer the piece bordering the glass top and under the control panel to have been stainless steel as well rather than black. Additionally, as is a horridly common practice the sides are black also. Of course, all the pictures have cabinets on both sides and in the store it sits in long row of side by side units so you never see the sides, but there are those of us where the stove is located on the end and the sides are thus exposed. If you ordered a silver car would you like it to only be silver on the hood and roof and black everywhere else? So basically, the stove really is black overall with some stainless steel accents. Had white been an option I would have done that.As I said, it works well so far and that is important, but a little more attention to the functional details would make it much better. It is obvious the designer is in love with the sleek black look but it really hinders the usability here not being able to see through the window and know where the pans should go.
